Hisui
is the stunning vocalist who started Madeth Gray'll. After many lineup
changes in the band, Hisui was the only remaining original member. He
wrote all the lyrics and some of the music of Madeth Gray'll. Hisui's
songs tend to be more melodical and not quite as hard as Yukina's
songs. They happen to be some of my favorites.
Especially missantroop, opera za no higeki, and Lucifer.
Some more Hisui facts: He was born in Kobe, is around 173 cm, looks up
to B'Z, his favorite song of Madeth's is Hakuchuumu no sangeki (because
of the lyrics). It's been said his weight is anywhere from
55 to 63 kg.....let's just say he is quite slim.
Hisui does not smoke atl all, unlike most jrockers these days. Vox
describes Hisui's voice as being "mournful" and I must really agree. It
really adds to the power of his dark lyrics. He has a unique voice that
is still very distinct compared to other vocals heard in the visual
scene (both past and present).
The mystery of KEI....
Madeth has had so many lineup changes...however, the singer that
created Madeth Gray'll named "kei" is indeed Hisui. They are one and
the same. Kei simply changed his name to Hisui. Prior to being in
Madeth Hisui was in the bands De=prive and De=Luge as a
vocalist. He was also a guitarist in the band Vierge.
Where is he now?
On March 10, 2001 he was
involved with the project band "gyarandou" with former Madeth members
Hisui and Reika, as well as many other indies jrockers.
They released a single demo tape. Hisui went on to create Jelly Berry
with former band mate Ukyou. They released a cd single called Mother
Crisis, but disbanded not long after. He then joined Airi and Crack
Brain's Hizaki to form the band Schwardix Marvally. Schwardix was
similar to Madeth with very heavy guitars and strong melodies.
Unfortunately, they annouced that they would disband and had their last
live on April 17, 2004.
Hisui would not join any band after this and instead just helped out in
various session bands as support guitar or vocals. His last known
support work was for Kisaki & Kansai Kizoku. Though
unconfirmed, it seems he has retired from the music scene. This is a
great shame, as he was a lovely singer and a great song writer. I
really hope he returns to music someday.
